Creating a Lake

That's what I thought, but I thought I'd share the urban legend anyway.:)

It turns out the devices used to carry the water can't scoop a diver and dump him later.

The actual way those divers got to be burned in the fire was that birds carried them to the woods, some stuck to the birds feet and others in the feathers under the wings. When the birds got too close to the fire they maneuvered violently to dodge the holocaust and the divers were dislodged, fallilng to a fiery death. A combined NAUI and PADI memorial plaque marks the spot where they met there end as divers.

Check with Urban Legends Reference Pages This story is NOT listed there as an erroneous myth!

Good question! How indeed could a guy wrapped in highly flamable neoprene rubber in a forest fire possibly get burned?

I see you say boiled first (well maybe steamed a bit around the edges) and then burned when his highly flammable foam neoprene rubber suit provided fuel to the fire instead of protection.

Since it didn't happen it doesn't matter nearly as much as whether or not he could have took off if the forest fire disabled the magic conveyor belt.
