A lot of people don't realize how deceivingly heavy logs can be. YouTube crane accidents and watch how many of them happen when removing tree's.

There's a video somewhere of a guy felling a butt log onto a trailer or truck bed. It obviously didn't go as planned.

What is truly amazing is the utter destruction of the trailer. Tires popped, axles bent, frame disintegrated, and floor collapsed. If it had working lights, that would be all you could salvage. Lucky for the owner he did not bother investing in them.

So a 60" diameter 10' long piece of hickory would be 13K pounds according to the googles, oak would be 17k.
