Critters captured on camera

Corn and rice bran. Sometimes I add a little sweet horse feed to the mix. Works great. As of today, in 2 years I have caught right at 200 hogs of various sizes in this trap.

In ARK. we had trouble with small deer getting in there too. We use the same type cage for hogs. We tryed pouring used cooking oil on the corn and open feeding the bran. Mysteriously after getting about 30, the hogs moved on. I want to go back and shoot a couple, when they start returning?

Around here at least what gets the hogs moving on or what seems like dissapearing is when guys start throwing the dogs on them. Also water levels.

I move the trap around and wipe it down regularly with diesel. They love to rub on the trap and then go after the grain. Caught one small deer, turned it loose and have not caught another. The biggest hog was about 280, the smallest about 25. We have a terrible problem here but we are making headway. The estimate on my acreage plus the other 3 landowners around me is we have done away with right at 1000 hogs in just over 2 years. The big nasty boars become buzzard and coyote food but all the rest are either donated or eaten by the trapper.

Keep up the good work:thumbsup:

We had a small herd of feral wild boar for a few years around here but they disapeared on their own(mebbe our winters are to hard on them)

I have eaten some of the feral hog meat and it is tasty..We don't have any around here that I know of....I drive nearly 3 hours to our other spot. I see plenty of them on U-tube?

You will start seeing them soon. There is a map on the louisiana wildlife/fisheries website showing their expansion and population growth. They are in your neck of the woods. Florida and Texas are the worst. We can now hunt them here 24/7 and with suppresors.

Here's a few of my Grizzly pics taken here in Montana. These were shot with my nice old Classic Canon A-1 film camera with a 100-300mm Telescopic Lens within anywhere from about 50 to 80 yards. He was a youngster, about 300 to 350lbs. I have seen em here almost 3 times as big. He came down from the higher mountains in search of food. He was feeding on the clover very close to us when I got these shots. I ran these pics through my scanner to get em' on my PC for you guys to see. Enjoy ! :D

Love the bear pictures and the other big critters.

But now is the time for some small fries.

The poor tarantula got hit by a Tarantula Wasp not to long after the picture was taken. She was either to big for the wasp or to far from her hole. There have been some rains and although fairly cold quite a few have come out to feed or mate.

Baby hop toad was a couple of months ago. They have all moved under ground for the winter.

The praying mantis was out yesterday. Most are gone this time of year. Put her out in the sun and better bug hunting grounds,
