Nice pic. The elk in the center, are those tags in its ears? Looks like it just ate a lemon.

I took these back on October 25. It was very dreary and rainy. I took these through the window. I hate taking photos through a window, but I didn't have a choice since it was raining so hard.
There were 10 of them walking around. Wish I had a shotgun. I could have shot Thanksgiving dinner! :licking:
With the last photo I tried to open the back door. Because of the rain dripping off the awning I had to open it a bit wider. They all flew off, and I got this quick shot.
I took this shot back on November 7. This doe was eating at the apple tree.

Speaking of racoons- got some trail cam pics of these guys in the last few weeks. This is at my camp in the NC mountains- a previous trip we noticed our wireless outdoor temperature sensor was missing. It was still reading but we couldn't find it, always showed about the same temperature.
Eventually found it under the portable storage building on the right, in the left pic, along with some other missing stuff:laughing:
Don't know what a raccoon lives in but I had to jack the building up with a high lift jack and there is a huge nest under there made from sticks. Not sure the raccoons did it, judging from the scat it might have been chipmunks that built the nest, incorporating my missing sensor, a hose cap and some miscellaneous yellow jacket trap parts along with bits of rope and nylon straps.
The pic in the middle has some other frequent visitors. The right pic has some occasional visitors

Here are some pictures taken behind my property. Those are seals giving birth to their pup in early spring of 2009. This usually happens in the Gulf of St-Lawrence, but that year because of a abnormal lack of ices in the Gulf, the seals had to give birth closer to the shore where they could find some ice. These pictures were taken at the end of the Bay of Chaleur and the beginning of the Restigouche River. As there is a fairly strong tide, the seals were drifting up and down the river. The blood that you see in some of the pictures are where the seals gave birth. The small white seals are the pups. You can also see that some of the seals have not given birth yet. This lasted about five days. As you can see, It brought quite a bit of onlookers on my property. It was quite something just to hear the pups cry's. If you enlarge the third pic., you can see one of the mother feeding her pup.

The nest under the building would also make one mighty suspicious of a busy Packrat. Those of us that keep a garage of similar condition always suspect them.
