Lizard (He was quick!)

Not sure was this is, but they are everywhere and extremely NOISY!
It Really looks Alien (See picture full sized)!!!!!!

Finally got them to start feeding. Black-Crested Titmouse.
They really seemed to love the black oil sunflower seeds.

As the shutter clicked, he looked straight at me!

Rapid fire caught them in flight!

Thanks for the pictures, our humming birds just came back a couple of weeks ago. We have a couple that we know are from years past{distinctive marks}. Last year we figured we had well over 40. Last week I had a smaller{200lbs+ -} black bear in the front yard. I could only get about 30' from him, he seemed young and shy.

Finally figured out the noisy bug.
Central Texas Leaf Katydid.
There are reports of a major outbreak this year like 2007.
This causes them to sing 24 hours a day, not just at night.

I thought it looked like a katydid but it was brown... ours are green here in Indiana.

You are right about the alien appearance.... those menacing green eyes! :laughing:

Awesome pictures, if you don't mind me asking what are you using for a camera I have been looking for one that can take pictures of humming birds. My current one takes too long to focus and I miss the shot.

It looks like he used a Nikon D40 and a 200mm telephoto lens. (pardon me for butting in here)

Exactly correct. For the Bird photos, camera was on a tripod and went to manual focus.
Despite the appearance, the framing of the shot never changed. Just did the cropping after the fact.
