Wire brush where the negative cable attaches to the tractor frame until it is shiny bare metal. Replace the original bolt/screw that attached the neg cable to the frame and clean the negative cable end to bare metal too. Cut a slice through the plastic jacket of the neg cable, close to it's frame end connector and look closely for any corrosion presence. If there is corrosion inside the cable jacket - replace the entire cable. Also get some battery post protection spray and spray ALL cable ends and post attachments, then reassemble the neg cable to the frame and spray that area until it is thoroughly covered in the protective coating. make sure both battery posts are shiny metal clean before assembly of the cable connectors.
