Cub 5234D problem

No problem...
I have no doubt it was a spill over from Cubhaters thread which is unrelated to this....

I like seeing this and have faith in the process and Cubtech's ability to resolve this for Viking65...

I can be patient, no problem. I'll take you up on that warranty extension.

Thanks again Cub Tech

Wow! My Cub dealer called last night to let me know that my new transmission has arrived. The dealer expected it would take another 2 weeks to receive the tranny. Out of nowhere it showed up. I have to credit my dealer, Cub Tech1 /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif and MTD for making this happen much faster than expexted. I am dropping off my tractor this afternoon, I should be back in business in a couple of days. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I know there are a lot of folks who don't like MTD but they are doing a great job for me. I don't think Deere, Kubota or NH or one of their dealers could have done better. Please don't say that a big 3 product would not have broken in the first place, they all break.

I think this proves, to me at least, that a good relationship with a dealer nearby is important. And working with the manufacturer and your dealer will get things done instead of flying off the handle, which I have done in the past with another product and got little results.

Good to hear that you are going to get fixed up.

I wanted to give you a new unit. But the dealer didnt have any yet.

So i rushed the transmission from KY.

PLus I got a few more people involved.

Enjoy!

Cub Tech1...maybe I am missing something...I think I have been treated very well by all concerned. My previous post was just a little tongue in cheek...I enjoy this lousy treatment from MTD/Cub Cadet...more tongue in cheek there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats on the fast recovery. MTD has always worked with our customers to get them back on their feet the very few times a situation has arose.

Full disclosure...the dealer is also installing a new lift cylinder, replacing the leaky one and checking out the gauge cluster. The gauge cluster fogs up on damp days. A lot of work getting done on short order. I certainly can't complain about Cub Cadet/MTD or my dealer.

I just got back from the dealer with my 5234D! I missed it. So far it's running fine. I figured it would take a full week to get it back, my dealer is swamped with work this time of year but he put my tractor at the front of the line and got it done before I thought he would. New transmission, lift cylinder, resealed the gauge cluster because it was fogging up on damp days and an oil and filter change. I will give it a good workout this weekend.

Hey Viking, glad to hear you're back in business. I get the feeling that Cub is making a greater effort to keep their customers satisfied. My 5252 has 230 hours on it now without a hitch.
