I've got a Cub Cadet 1517 that has the typical PTO shutoff when you put it in reverse. I'd like to disengage that so that I can cut in reverse. I'm told it's easy but can't find a wire or anything to do that. Any help?

Post this same message in the Cub Cadet forum, they will tell you where to look.

Not sure if the 1517 is included, but there have been at least a couple rather recent threads on the same subject in the cub cadet discussions. So, you may be able to run a search in the CC forum and find what you need, or like Inspector507 wrote, you may have a bit quicker results posting there.

However, if I may add, it may save confusion asking a moderator to move it instead of having the duplicate post. Maybe you wanted it under Customization for some reason, else if you want it moved:

Make a reply to any of the posts [now 3] in this thread, and write something like "If this belongs in another forum like Cub Cadet, could a moderator please move it." If you need it expedited or you really blundered [certainly not the case here], then you can hit "notify moderator" on the post. From what I've seen, they are often very quick to help out.

Good luck finding the answer; can't remember if it was CC or another brand, but I remember reading about several models that can be "cured" by simply bending a little steel finger [located under the reverse postion] so it won't contact the switch. Have fun! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
