Buddy gave us a Leinbach cultivator (one of those V-shaped deals with 6 prongs) and I'm wondering what it can be used for. So far, with a simple YouTube search, I've gathered it is used for weeding row crops? I've never looked that hard into one...

Anyone help me out?

You can use it as you describe.

But you can also use it to "drag" a field or garden. It actually works better, in my opinion, as a field cultivator than it does a row cultivator.

In our soil, once I break up the soil with the plow, I rake it with the field cultivator and we're good to go.

Gotcha...
We bought a tiller from the same fellow and he wanted the cultivator and 6' box blade out of his sight so he is giving them to us. Our current BB is only 4' wide so the larger one will help us out in some situations. Just didn't really know the uses of cultivator.

Thanks
