So, a 16 ft handle, and a hoe will do the trick, but looking at ditch/creek, do you have water there? If so, a 2" semi trash pump, pumping clean water would work to wash the sediment out.

I dont like the brake rotor idea, because it's, A, big enough and rigid enough that it is basically trying to take it all in one bite, which could be too much, and possibly the path of least resistance is the top of your CMP. B, it's just small enough that I could see it trying to work past/over a 2-4" rock, and then Firmly wedging itself in their.

If we are really set on the push-pull method, start with something like a 8", then move to a 12", and finally a 15".

You could stack up cut tire pieces, on a center, maybe 18" long Eye bolt, in a rough circle. The rubber "pig" will have some flex to not get jammed, the eye bolt should help give you a good attachment point and help the pig to stay centered, and keep it from tilting,

After the abortive attempts I jus posted about I purchased one of the following.... unfortunately with clay sediment and the amount of reach involved it's really hard to get any sort of bite on material unless it's already loosened up.

I don't have easy access to enough water to support a 2" trash pump unfortunately, but have been looking at the various jet rods offered as attachment for pressure washers as a way of moving/loosening up some of the stuff I'm dealing with.

If you have access, broom tractor broom pieces, or a cattle scratcher kinda broom core, the brush parts are flexible enough to get through, but rigid enough to scour the sediment.

Something like this, and a winch or strap on am ATV? It might take multiple/many passes, but it should eventually leave it pretty good, except hardened clay sediment. That would need to be done when wet

I had been thinking of finding and cutting down an old rotary brush that you usually see used during road construction, but dang Amazon has cattle brushes of multiple diameters for very affordable prices... they just need a solid core of appropriate size to bolt to and attach a eye on. Again thanks what seems like a perfect solution!!

I did get a tire trough the culvert so all i needed to do keep pulling the spool through the culvert to get the dirt and gravel out. It was a multi step process. First was to get a rope tru then use the rope to pull the chain through, the pull the tire trough. Then look in side the culvert to see what exactly is in it. Then ran the spool through a couple times to get cleared out. It was a 24” culvert and the spool was 16” in diameter, so there was wiggle room in the culvert. Leave a piece of rope in the culvert for future use.
On getting tractor unstuck it cost $750.00 to get it out using a 40 ton wrecker. It costs money to fix stupid 😜
