Sorry I made such a big deal about the culvert. After I re-filled in the hole I so skillfully dug out, I placed the culvert at the original grade (read that as wasted time, but good FEL training).

One load of fill dirt and one load of crushed lime rock...graded it out nice so there's only a small hump. I'm so proud !!! I had a great time doing it and really improved my FEL skills (moved 36 tons of material).

I need to put cement on the mitred ends and I'm done.

When I purchased property several years ago I had to get across a township drainage ditch. When I started checking into it with the township they told me 14" corrugated smooth lined plastic pipe was all they would approve. Then they told me that if I purchased pipe from them they would install it. So I had them figure up price and wrote check. Paid $189.00 for 40' of 14" pipe township did rest out of own pocket. Only drawback was 2 months to install. Since we built this past year have had many trucks across this with no signs of give, cement trucks, block trucks, plus have had tri axle trucks of varying stone for road, backfill and drainage aproximently 14 23 ton loads
