DAMAGE DUE TO REAR WHEEL SPACERS

Simple question: Has anyone broken anything on a BX-24 caused by the installation of rear wheel spacers? Not dual wheels, just spacers.

If so please reply with what was damaged and what were you doing when the damage occurred.

If not you do not need to reply, view this as a survey. Lots of chatter on this topic but interested in hearing from those that actually had failures.

I've been running spacers for two seasons now and haven't had any problems (knock on wood). What I do have a is a much more stable and safe platform to work with!

Now that you have me thinking, I'll have to pull the wheels sometime soon and check for anything out of the ordinary.

Thanks Al. Richard from Bro-Tek says he's had a pair on his BX22 since 2005...over 1,000 hours of heavy testing, with no problems. That's a pretty good testimonial.

Two years with 2 inches spacers on my BX2350 without any trouble.

The tractor is much more stable.

I bought wheel spacers for my B3030 from the dealer.

The factory spacers should be 1.5"... So 3" total... Aftermarket spacers, most notably Bro-Tek, are wider.

The factory spacers are made to allow enough space for the installation of tire chains. And they are not compatible with all MMM deck widths.


Regarding front spacers... They would not give you any advantage. The stability of a tractor is dependent on the rear wheels.
