I don't think it would be hard to make a set up to test the calibration of your torque wrenches at home.

If you have a known weight, and a lever arm of a known length, you could hang the weight from one end of that lever arm and use your torque wrench at l the other end of the lever to see at what setting it clicks at.

For example, 50 pounds hanging from a bar two feet long would start to move when 100 pound feet were applied at the other end.

Did you get it running?

Bolts arrived last Wednesday. Crazy weekend with a scout camp out. I went out yesterday afternoon and finished up the rear main housing. I cleaned and mounted the flywheel. My neighbor held a pry bar on the flywheel so I could torque it. I cleaned and mounted the clutch last night. I do not have a clutch centering tool, but I am fairly confident that I have it close enough to go back together. Zero issues. Tomorrow night, dad is coming over to join the two halves together. My neighbor said he would help also. I think we'll want his help. If I can get this accomplished tomorrow, I can finish the rest by myself this week. I so badly want to get it running this weekend.

Good luck. I'm sure you can't wait to hear it fire up.

I used a deep socket (10mm I think) that fit into the pilot bushing. I did have to add some tape to the larger part so the splined disk was somewhat tight, worked perfectly. Others have used dowels or whittled down broom handles. I have a post here somewhere with pictures.

I hope it goes back together easily for you.

I did the same with a socket and some tape. Worked fine.

Well. She's back together now. Wasn't too bad. We ended up spinning the crank over to get the splines to match up. A little jiggling and it went right together. I worked until 9:45 tonight. Mounted the fuel tank, steering wheel and controls, started on the wiring harness.
