Q - If the bowl cracks and your not around for a week will it drain the tank on a CK 30 HST ?
The CKs use a fuel pump, which is below the level of the filter. So when the tractor is running, there is a small
pressure on the bowl, but no siphon effect. Mine leaked only while running. Turns out, mine was cracked at the
base, but also around the mounting flange. The leak was about to get bigger.
Anyway, HIGHBEAM's warning was that he smelled the fuel. If your sniffer is not as good, you may find
out when you run out of fuel sooner than expected.
The new bowl is milky, as everyone reports. That means you cannot see fuel (or water) inside, which seems
to defeat the whole purpose of this kind of filter.
The self-bleeding fuel system works very well on these Kiotis, BTW. None of my other brand tractors was this
easy.
