Here is the latest that I have found on it. They think the seeds are part of a scam. I know, its hard to believe that the Chinese are involved in a scam.<sarcasm>

Some people in our area got them. Amazing what scam artists will go through to get financial gain.
Since it's outside US, probably will never get punished in any way.

Saw that this afternoon ... apparently it's happened in all 50 states now: Mystery seeds from China are landing in Americans' mailboxes - CBS News

Per: USDA APHIS | USDA Investigates Packages of Unsolicited Seeds from China -the recommendation is to contact state plant regulatory officials if the seeds are received.

Hopefully this doesn't end up with the introduction of yet another difficult to control invasive species as there are already more than enough of those already in the US (pythons in the Everglades, kudzu in the southern US, wild pigs, etc.)

Have any spare seeds? Looks like just the sort of plant to help protect the garden from unwanted pests.....

I think I may also need to further investigate the hardiness zone compatibility of that bacon plant ..... as hot as it's been lately, I might be able to pick fully cooked bacon

USDA, FDA, CBP, DEA, USPS, DHS and who knows how many other alphabet agencies are supposed to be protecting us by inspecting inbound shipments, so how are these getting through?
