Hurricane work?

Right after the hurricane some fence company I'd never heard of in Florida called wanting to know if I needed work. The offered long hours and big money. I don't know where they got my name.

I declined. My plate is full here.

Now the problem is " Can you find it when you want it " or " Opp's, didn't mean to step on that"

I happened across the auction by error and thought that I would just throw in a bid so I could keep track of it for future reference. I placed a $10.00 bid. I had expected to get out bid, but I didn't. I have found a lot of things like this in the past and have placed bids. Sometimes I get unlucky and win when I didn't intend to. A few weeks ago, I was at a flea market and I saw a Milwaukee portable band saw. It was marked $20, which I thought was a good deal. Had no use for it, but the seller said to "make an offer". I said that my offer would be ridiculous, but he again said "make an offer". I offered him $5.00 for it and he put out his hand. I now own a saw that I really don't need, but will sit in the corner of the garage till that day that I will need it. That is also the reason that my garage looks like it does. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I finally got to using the $5.00 portable band saw and now I am on the prowl for a table saw. My 20 year deck project is coming to a close and I need to rip a bunch of boards to the correct width. I have read all that has been posted, but times change. Any up to date suggestions as to the "best" buy in table saws? I have been looking locally for a used one, but haven't found any. Owned one many years ago, but loaned it to someone who never returned it.... too long ago to remember who. Seems that happens a lot to my tools. Someone asks to borrow them and they forget to return them. Someday, I will remember to keep a note as to who borrowed what that hasn't made it home.....

Cliff,
All the JD power tools are Htiachi products. Hitachi and Deere have an agreement of some sort.
Even their excavators are made by Hitachi.
Hitachi is darn good stuff.
