Deere Wax

What kind of wax should you use on a deere fiberglass hood? My dad just bought a used 288 in excellent condition, but the hood is very faded from it setting in the sun. What will restore it or at least inprove it?

Just about any good cleaner/wax like Maguars or Mothers will make it look better. If you can power buff it with a polishing compound before waxing, even better. Or best yet pull hood off this winter and take it to a body shop for a fresh spray of JD green- shouldn't cost any more than $40-50.

Bought jd spray cans replacement paint @ Menard's and restored my 318 perfect match.

Gono, you will get the hood looking good and then have to spiff up the rest of the tractor to match Been there done that.
