My x595 disabled *itself,* lol. The RIO switch failed to short. Can't say I've worried about it. I still pull up on the switch when reversing reflexively, I've been doing it so long... Bought that machine in 2003.

apparently a clothes pin works but I haven't tried it yet.

I tried it and it would not work all of the time for me. It would pop out as I was mowing so I did the jumper bypass. Pretty simple and easily replaced if JD removes it during service. Interestingly, the last couple of times they worked on my machine, they didn't touch it, probably because the issues were not related to the PTO.
