One thing I really wish was available on the BX was a quick attach bucket system on the front loader like the John Deere (probably means dual cylinders) - and quick disconnect bucket on the backhoe. I have wished for these things a number of times on my BX23. A lot of the other things I might wish for have been fixed on the BX24 - too bad I cant afford a new tractor at the moment.

Frankly, I think the 26hp BX is stupid. There is no need for that kinda power in a subcompact. Its all because of the HP race between companies and the customers focus on that rather meaningless number.

Lower the stupid ROPS 3"... I learned my lesson destroying my garage trim, then my cousin did the same thing to his when borrowing it!

Also, not a fan of the dual pedal setup for forward/reverse... it is difficult to smoothly transition a lot of the time.

Else, great tractor and wouldn't change much. Had it just over a year now and it has been just about perfect for my needs.

Funny. I had the choice when I bought my tractor. That (the split treadle instead of single treadle) along with the metal fenders (vs. plastic) was one of the reasons I went with the 2230 instead of the 2350.

Lost out on the lower profile front tires (not a biggie), the higher 3PH (actually, that would have been nice), the 1 HP (woop-tee-doo...has too much power already), and the curved FEL booms (probably better, but I don't know).

Won on lack of broken fenders (metal everything), comfy treadle, and a nod from the wife by owning a tractor-looking-tractor. She thought the 2350 looked like a race car. I actually like that my FEL lever LEAVES with the FEL and doesn't stick me with that huge wand ALL the time.

And saving over $2,000 at the time didn't hurt, either.

Sometimes, looking back is the best way to look forward. Put on the "Ultimate BX" list the following: Metal hood/fenders and a single treadle just like on the 1830/2230/23. And a choice of quick disconnects to have the FEL wand stay with the tractor or leave with the FEL.

I want a navigation system, air conditioning, an mp3 player, a tilt wheel, an overdrive gear, a center console, a heated seat, a side car, and some side mirrors. I'm going to sell my cars and trucks and just drive my BX everywhere since a gallon of fuel lasts about 3 hours.

Mr. RayCo, I think you're just getting silly. Why do you need an MP3 player? IPod connectivity is much more useful. An MP3 CD only holds 150 or so songs. And you need to ask for a third gear range...SH (Super High). Better to get to PA Turnpike speeds.

NOW we're talking.

Does the annual Kubota dealer's meeting begin tomorrow. If it does, then we should know what the new B7610 and B7800 and new BX replacements are tomorrow?

thanks mark

Here's what I'd like to see...

1. More lifting capacity on the FEL so one can put a Millionzi grapple on it. This means factory QA also.

2. Shorter/foldable ROPS. Then they can take the metal savings and and put it towards getting rid of the plastic and going metal.

3. Move the joystick from the dash to the seat side. I hate the current setup because it interfers with getting on and off from the right side.

4. Factory skid plates. If nothing else, make it a low cost option. This should be a no brainer since the cost to have it as standard equipment probably would cost Kubota less then $10.

5. Different dash layout with a analog tach and temp guage.

There's lots of other things that can be done too, but if I had to pick one thing I'd like more to see more FEL lift capacity. Man do I want a Millonzi 48" grapple!

Sounds like what you want is a larger B series tractor. You do realize that every one of your concerns could be alleviated by an upgrade ;)

I've got the B series brochure and I didn't see much different in the smaller B tractors. The FEL capacity isn't much better and the joy stick is still in the wrong place. Yes, I like the smaller ROPS and dash, but those are minor compared to the FEL capacity and I don't want the larger B tractors because they're just to big.

Here's the specs:
B7610
Tractor weight: 1367 lbs
FEL capacity (LA352 19.7" fwd): 670lbs.

BX24
Tractor weight: 1542 lbs
FEL capacity (LA240 19.7" fwd): 518lbs.

Here's what I don't get.... I don't know why someone would get a B7x10 series other then for the PTO lift capacity and slightly bigger size because the BX looks better in most every other category, even price.
