I'm looking at the Frontier Equipment Operator's and Parts Manual and I don't see the 4-in-1 for the 200 loader.

Yes, the extreme hieght of the trees was for the photos. Those alders really don't weigh much. I think I will try sand in the box. That would make it nice to keep certain tools in. I would think I could poke the handles in the sand.

Where should I keep that box while using? Maybe as low as possible and raise when necessary? You are probably right that I would probably role before I look at the tilt meter. I'll probably just stay with the pucker factor and think I might role long before I ever would.

I haven't ever taken the loader off, but it will be inside if I ever do. In fact the tractor will be under cover at my place. I might throw up a RV port just for it so I don't have to lower the ROPS all the time.

Put a couple sections of PVC pipe with the bottom closed in the box, then the sand. Instant holes for handles!

Great pictures Garth,
You are really having fun with your JD. See what you been missing now? What chores do you have lined up for your place after you finish with your friend? I'm sure you'll come up with something.

I see your tires are filled already so all you need is some sand in that weight box and that will make her squat down a little more and feel more stable. Are your tires set wide or narrow? That may be another thing to consider to add stability.

Yep, keep the ballast box low and raise (and lower) as required. The lower the center of gravity, the better.
Those loaders are easy to remove and re-install. The first time is kind of intimidating, but just go step by step using the manual's instructions and don't worry about how long it takes. Definitely make sure you jiggle that joystck to relieve pressure after the engine is switched off!
With a Deere loader, as you pull back on the stick to lift the loader away from the tractor, you'll want to be in neutral. The tractor will push away from the loader as it rises off the frame. Make sure the masts (vertical section of the loader frame) are high enough for your front wheels to pass under as you back out. This is definitely a low gear/low range job, especially if you park the loader inside (I park mine inside).

Also, when you get off the tractor to disconnect the hydraulics, your head will be in close proximity to the mast...it does not move if you bump your head against it.

I like the PVC in the sand idea. Wouldn't have figured that one out (probably not the sand either). I don't know where My wheels are set, but I would like them at their widest. I could probably guilt them into doing that for me when my other implements show up. I now know that I will need that overkill grill guard. I hope a new grill is as cheap as it looks like it should be. I'll have to be more careful now.

I think I'll try to go play on it som more today.

Overkill? Looks like you are doing serious landclearning.. and it's hard to be overkill for that. landclearing is even hard on commercial equipment... the GC I work for likes to sub out the LC to save the wear/tear on our loder cabs and lamps/steps.. etc.

Welcome to the neighborhood Garth446. It looks like your having way to much fun.

I know all to well about those alders, take 'em down one year and next spring there are 200 more new ones growing. I use a lot of Crossbow to keep them at bay.:D

Have fun with your machine and let us know if we can help you expand your inventory of toys.;)

Man. Looking at those pics makes me want to go get my tractor out of the barn and clear something, anything. . . .even if it doesn't need cleared! I would LOVE to be able to get a 4-in-1 bucket. Love the pics!

Yesterday I found an old loafing shed for my friend that she didn't know she had. Burn pile is too big now and now that I'm an expert I figure the free work is over. I brought her home to give her a good cleaning.

Heck, I even drove it a couple miles up the road to a party last night. Fresh salmonon the BBQ. I've been so wrapped up with the new toy, I fogot I have a boat that hasn't been wet in a while and the Silvers are a runnin! No Ho like Coho!
