I have been told
* (but haven't yet had the joy of ripping a wall open to find out), that 2x6 walls on HUD homes are frequently built with 2x4 lumber.
**Additionally, HUD homes require added supports underneath to keep the floors level, unlike a BOCA home which will have a wider clear span.

I opened a MH home business in 1973 and haven't seen one built like that.
Have toured factories and worked there didn't see any there either.
**Every stick built or modular I have ever seen sitting on a basement has only half the clear span of a MH setting on a basement.

What is the longest span of the floor joist in a stick built, modular and a HUD code home?
