Anyone here by chance know of a code reader that will Interface with the XR4040C

Thinking Nexlink NL-102 may read and reset codes

Wrong plug on the xr4000 series , a standard J1939 plug won't work ...looks more like a Perkins diagnostic port. There has to be an hand held code reader /reset for these tractors without paying $1500 To $3000 .....any ideals ?

I've been looking for almost 4 years now. Even if a plug is found that fits I doubt an automotive type reader would read the codes. Unfortunately there isn't much demand for a tractor aftermarket code reader or a standardized OBD II port like the automotive industry. The software also seems to be proprietary per each manufacturer.

Minhinda has a standard obd2 , many other have J1939 standards , have read and reset codes on many types of equipment... notice dealer had a hand held for checking codes ...they wouldnt give me any information on it ...have found some in the $600 dollar range that say the will work on new holland boomer .....that's basically an LS , same part number for the ecu...

What ones did you find for $600 range that will work on the boomer? I haven't had any codes but I'd be interested for future reference.

Thinking the adapter may work with my truck scanner...(not for sure by no means) still researching....

I just went out and looked but can't find the data port. Where is yours located?
I pulled both under dash panels and popped the hood but didn't see it.

I have an Autel Maxicheck Pro diag. tool that should be more than capable.

Mine is in the cab under the steering wheel near floor (right of center ) , there is an opening for plug , the cover only has 3 screws for easier access

Will check wireing should be
B= ground
A= +12
G= CANH
F= CANL
This should allow for code read/reset
