There is a JD line also made in India. What's your inference there?
Also, you have limited knowledge about Mahindra as if you didn't, you'd know the op's product is made in South Korea by Tym and not in India
To the op:
As I see it, you have two choices. You can take this tractor back and ask them to order a new Mahindra 2638 for you (or whatever number it is). Hopefully the mount problem has been rectified on the newer model.
2. Fabricate the fault out of the tractor yourself if indeed the mounting on the newer model is the same. The strap idea I feel gives the most credence as the original mounting idea is of poor engineering.
To do what they did originally, the tank would have had to be molded with bolsters at the fix points to alleviate any torque or stress cracks.
