Kioti tractors are marketed in the USA by Daedong USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daedong Korea. Early on, they were brought in by an independent importer. The trend has been for Korean tractor manufacturers to sell through importers or to market through various other means (badge engineered tractors) before entering the market on thier own. Kioti was one of the first. Kukje Ended up owning Branson, discontinuing Century, TYM came in as Scorpion and Mahindra before coming direct, and LS supplied tractors for Famrtrac, Tafe, Montana and McCormick. In this market it is very hard to compete selling a tractor you are buying from another manufacturer, adding your name along with your marketing and warranty expenses. It will be interesting to see how the new OEM supply agreements work out over the next few years.
