Did somebody lose some rocks?

I have 2 places in Conn. farm in Woodstock,, my 44,000 lb excavator has trouble moving some of of the pebbles. 1 1/2 hour away near New Haven coastal, no rocks. In Woodstock, when I hit digging like that in first pictures I say thanks for the easy day.

If you can figure out how to get them down here, the last retail price I heard was around 40¢/lb for them! Seriously! I must have used about $10,000,000 worth when we were building retaining walls in Indiana.

We have no rocks at all on our place and next door there are tons. It's glacier effect up here.

Kind of glad in a way, it would be awful having so many in the soil.

At my moms place, there are a few rocks when you dig deep but only a little. My dads is all dirt. Atleast until they brought in pit run to level a spot on a steep hill. They brought in truck load after truck load of it. I collected some nice boulders and smaller rocks. Recently, I spread a huge pile of manure on the top and used the blanket harrow, and my new harrow to grade it. Then took the skidsteer out there and got a huge scoop of rocks out of there. Now its an outdoor arena. I will take some rocks off your hands though.

Even though Bancroft is the "Mineral Capitol" of Ontario, my wife still had me build her a Rock Garden. Each year she has a fantastic crop....

I've got so many rocks that you need to have livestock in pairs so that one can lift the rock while the other one grazes . The areas that are not solid rock are what is called glacial moraine -- sand and Lanark pea gravel.
My wife has me build her a rock garden as well but then she needs a step ladder to weed it.

when we dug our basement we were hoping for rock to do landscaping with - ended up with a 9' deep hole in the clay.
1/2 mile north of us a neighbor dug his basement and hit nothing but rock -- so we hired his excavator to move about 95 tons of it to our yard.

In Middle Tennessee, we don't have rocks, we have A ROCK. I think there is one big rock under the entire middle of the state.
