Did you buy your tractor from TBN info

As was the case with many of the others, TBN was my primary research tool. I would say that it played a very significant influence in my brand selection.

I guess it was 50% research, most done on TBN and 50% talking to the 4 dealers near me (New Holland, JD, Kubota and Kioti).

Without TBN's insights I would not have made the same choice I did simply because I was not educated.

This place continues to be a big help with operating - glad it's here.

Yes, I was on TBN for nearly a year before I bought. Took in tons of research and advice and am very happy with the machine I ended up with (purchased sight unseen and only based on TBN recommendations).

No, I have no friends who like tractors. Those who do, (who live up north) already have tractors. I am odd man out in LA.

Yes I used TBN too.
I was looking for a used larger one one started in to the GREY area finally realized most used ones are beat and used tbn to decide on what new ones I could afford then used TBN to narrow the search. then wen t the dealers.

When I finally decided I had to have a tractor for my small horse farm, I googled "small tractors" and the first link I looked at was one from TBN. I got hooked on TBN immediately and lurked for a few weeks until I had enough information to make an informed purchase. I am still hooked on this site as I learn something new each day while reading many great posts. The only bad part about this site is learning about all the great implements out there and spending money on them! :) Thanks Muhammad and the moderators.

I I can remember when I first came here in the early 90's it was called something like Kubotanet or something like that before it was changed to Tractorbynet.

There were a bunch of people here with a lot more experience than me on tractors.

Opinion back then was Kubota and there was a guy here that was amazing on his research and why he selected a Kubota, so I just piggy backed on his gret work and purchased what he did.

I'm in California so dealing with a local dealers was more like - here's our price take it or leave it. Through this site I found a dealer in SC. who quoted almost 10K less than the local guy. I went back to the local guy and gave him another chance, and he wasn't interested. So I bought from the guy in SC, service was amazing dealing with him a thousand miles away.

I wanted some custom things done and the dealer took pictures every day and e-mailed them to me . Now mind you this was EARLY 90's before or right at Digital Cameras.

We are all excited with new equipment and for him to send pictures and updates was great ...and saving 10K wasn't bad either.

After using the tractor for15 years I sold it for what just a few thousand less than what I paid for it. So to use a tractor for 15 years for a few thousand dollars I thought that was great.

I'd already made the deal on the New BX23 before I ever heard of TBN.

With the 2 BX1500s it was a different story.
In 2007 I found Barlow Eqipment on TBN after being a member here for 3 years.
Brady had a new and a used BX1500 listed on his site and I bought them both together.

Read a lot on TBN for 7-8 months before the tractor purchase by visiting almost daily, sometimes for hours.

Pretty much decided the size, features etc. from reading here and asking questions. Once I had decided on those Kioti seemed to be the most bang for the buck and from what I read on TBN about Kioti I felt ok not going with Deere or Kubota on what for me was a large purchase.

I still read TBN most days and find it invaluable. I read about good deals, best practices and occasionally about someones mistakes that I could have seen myself easily making in the same circumstance.

Hi All,

I am just wondering as I love TBN (Thanks Muhammad!), have been here for yours and want to see how far reaching the TBN site is to people who have purchased their machine.

How long did you research TBN prior to your purchase?

Did you find TBN info to be a determining factor when you purchased?

Have you referred friends to TBN that then made a tractor purchase?

Just curious as I send lots of people here for research.

This is good info for TBN to know as well for their advertising efforts.

I started checking TBN after my purchase. I did not know about TBN at the time. I think TBN is the very best tool for reviewing others honest opinion on what flavor tractor to buy.

I had already bought my tractor before i knew about TBN.

The person that told me about this site was my wrist doctor in Louisville KY.
He is the doctor that did the first hand transplant in the U.S.

I was there for a checkup and i had a JD hat on and he asked me if i had ever heard of TBN and i told him no, but would check it out.

I was working with my tractor in Feb. of 05 and i turned it off and it wouldn't start back, my wife came out and ask me if i needed her to call the dealer, i said NO :p

I told her to register with TBN and post that i shut my tractor off, and when i went to start it back it wouldn't start. After 30 minutes of waiting for replies, i had got my answer and my tractor running again.

*It was probably that KENNYD that posted what was wrong with it.:D

So who do i thank for the help.

Doc.---yes for telling me about TBN.

Wife.---she wanted to call the dealer. ( i better thank her.)

Kennyd---no______________________________________Yes:D

TBN---Yes

Thanks Muhammad!!!
