Did Your Salesman Point Out The HST Fan On The BX?

Exactly, I choose the BX2660 over a B2920 and it had nothing to do with money. The BX fit my needs much better than a B and no regrets here.

At the time I was shopping for a dedicated TLB... I considered the B series 21 at twice the priced of my BX23... so far, the little BX has done an amazing amount of work... about 80% Loader and 20% Backhoe...

A machinist friend has fabricated a HST from stainless steel for his BX-23 after his was destroyed x2. He does LOTS of bush hogging on his horse farm. He used the original fan as a pattern & CNC'ed new ones for it. Kind of scary b/c it mulches any sticks up as they come into it.T-Man.

He should make those available to the general public, and tuck into his pocket a nice profit for his troubles.

After almost ripping out lines, wires, hoses, on b-series and L-series, I knew the minute I got my bx from my experiance as well as others here that bro-tek plates were cheap insurance.
So the day I got it I ordered the 3 skid plates and the backhoe thumb.
You are right they are expensive but not compared to replacing that fan on an ongoing basis.

IH3444,
I hear an echo. I told him that & his answer was " I ain't got time to fool around with that crap. More time & trouble than it's worth." Of course he works for NIST as a machinist & he made them as a "training tool" for a new machine they got in. It's a Flow Jet/CNC/lathe IIRC totally cool. He can take anything already made, or designed, & either import it as a 3D image or scan it live & the machine goes to work. I had a part on an older wheel lock pistol break. He took the broken pieces & made me a new piece out of titanium in about an hour, then he made the rest of the pistol for himself except of the barrel, that was rifled steel. He even did the wooden stock. :licking:
For the HST, he bought one when his broke & took it in, stuck it in the machine & made one for himself & one for me. I haven't needed to put mine on yet, but I did invest in the Bro-Tek MMM plate Bro-Tek Skid Plates  So far zero issues with HST damage. When I do have a problem, I already have a bullet proof spare. :D

T-Man.
