Kerosene has more lubricity than Stoddard and it even causes excessive wear when blended with diesel.. I would definitely make sure to run a lube additive.

If you do add adatives make sure that they do not contain isopropyl alcohol. The only one that they do reccomend is Stanadyne (sp).
As long as I have a warranty on my duramax and the repairs are expensive I am not going to add anything to it. After the warranty wears off if I dont trade it in for a new one I might consider doing that then.
