DIESEL PRICE DROP

Today, 76 Station in Cameron Park Calif(20 miles outside Sacramento) Diesel was $2.99/gal.....

has everyone thought about off road fuel? it's somewhere arround $2.00 a gal. and it is the same fuel that you get at the pump, for $2.50 and up. it just has red die put into it. I run it in my pick often.

If everyone who did that would admit it you just might be suprised there is alot of farmers doing it for years. 1 I know for 20, its hard enough to keep a small farm running without high fuel prices. it's a chance we're willing to take.

All I have to say is be carefull. Aside from the fines(large ones), the fuel is rarely taken care of like the regulated(taxed) version, and it may contain more than you bargain for(water,algae,kerosene,gasoline,etc). Todays emission controled trucks dont like the contaminates very much. If you have a reliable source and its well taken care of, in good reliable tanks-nock yourself out....Remember, the dye is not just in your fuel now, it has stained you entire fuel system(filters, resivior, anything else it has touched) and its not always easy to explain why....Fuel prices will level out in '07, just a fact of life we need to accept, have you priced a gallon of milk lately? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Diesel was 2.459 this morning and gas was 2.299 and by 3 pm it was 2.459. This getting ridiculous.
