Diesel prices in your area?

Why is it that diesel prices here in N.E. Are immune to the cheaper prices of crude? Isn't the refining process for diesel simpler and cheaper than gas? Why are we still paying $3.89 a gallon for diesel when gas is $2.20?

because it's what the oil cos want and we have no choice but to pay what they want us to pay.

In Moncton New Brunswick, Diesel sells for 1.19/lt, or 4.52/American gal, Reg gas sells for 1.05 / lt., or 3.99 per American gal

I believe that but how does that account for gas prices adjusting according to crude. If oil companies had their way the gas prices shouldn't have dropped right?

Winter time..gas is low, diesel #2 is high due to heating costs
summer time...gas is high, diesel #2 is low due to higher gas useage.

They get you when they can hurt you the most.

Here in the Adirondacks, diesel is $3.39 a gal. Regular gas is $2.53. A few weeks ago, diesel dropped to $3.19 briefly and then shot right back up.

$2.17 regular unleaded, $2.45 for diesel here in Branson Mo.

Diesel more than regular? Why? Is there higher tax on diesel? It is much cheaper to make it. I remember, in Kuwait, with no tax on it in 1980 diesel was 20 cent US a gallon for cars with service, for boats 8 cents US a gallon self service.
