Diesel prices in your area?

$2.45 for gas. Diesel is $3.69 here in Northern Indiana. That's 44% more for diesel. No thanks. Wishing I didn't have my F350 right now.

Diesel is 3.35 in Northern OH. That's 43% higher than 87 gas.
If I compare my V8 truck to a new diesel, The diesel would have to average 26mpg to break even. And then would never recoup the upfront cost of the diesel engine. Crazy.

Wow, Diesel just went up at my local stops. 3.39 now. That's 50% higher than reg 87 now (2.27). I like the gas this low, but I wish diesel was following closer.

Drove to Franklin Indiana today. Franklin is 10 miles south of Indianapolis. Gas was $2.11 and diesel was $3.42. 39% difference.

Filled up today. Road winter blend is $3.79. I also use it in the tractors during the winter, as I've seen what -30 or worse does to the red stuff. :cold:

Bought 93 gallons of off road today for $2.89 a gallon.

Filled up the truck earlier this week at Walmart for $3.19 a gallon.

Taxes are a portion of the price of fuel everywhere. NJ has one of the lowest state taxes on gas in the nation; IDK where we stand on diesel fuel tax, but at a station in Hamburg they have off-road for $.20 less/gal. I'd be curious. Gas yesterday $2.43 at Quick Check, diesel $3.15; 30% more.

A side note: the difference between Regular 87 and High Test 93 varies by station. Used to be $.30/gal. Now it's .35, .40, even .50 more per gallon. This matters 'cuz my turbo car only uses 93 octane. BP is cheapest even tho their Regular is more than other stations.

$2.50 for gas here. cheapest I've seen it in quite awhile. Diesel $3.80, a little better than 50%.
