Diesel prices in your area?

Paid $2.41/gal for road diesel at the Valero's in Tightsqueeze VA (near Chatham) the other day. Was filling up the new 2015 Golf TDI Sportswagen SEL after a trip up to WV to do some mowing & back. Got double the MPG the '05 Magnum R/T used to get for the same route. Diesel has been way cheaper than the premium I used to burn in the Magnum with the performance tune installed.

Well what did you get for MPG on your VW trip to WV? And is it "broke in"?
The best I've gotten on my 09 TDI Sportwagen was 47 mpg on about 900 mile long trips at posted +5 speeds. But I thought it took about 30K to break them in.

$2.39 in Petersburg, VA yesterday. It was that low about 6 months ago. Looking for another small drop.

Road diesel in the Spokane, WA area is right around $3.20 per gallon - and appears to be still rising.

Interesting. It appears to be falling around here. About $2.49 at most places

Same place I paid $2.36 yesterday was $2.31 today (includes 3 cent discount). RUG was $2.17.

Less than 1000 miles at the time of the fill up. Current trip was 469 miles at that point. Computer said 46 mpg since last refuel, but my computation put it more like 41. It will take a few more to get a better baseline - don't know that the previous fill up was as complete as it might have been.

I paid 2.499 today.. Prices vary from station to station for some reason.. This is the cheapest I've found.. I found some @ 2.599, 2.699, 2.799.. all the stations are probably within 1-2 miles of each other... I can't understand why prices vary this much
