Gee the "exhaust" on the four legged mowers can be used as fertilizer.. I don't think the "exhaust" from a 4 wheeled vehicle is a good fertilizer.. Them 4 legged mowers can be just as expensive sometimes.. Shoeing time (tire time) Vet checks (tune up), Shelter (garage).. There seem to be some similarities here.......

However, I've heard that the exhaust from the diesel horses can be used to remove yellow jacket nests and scare off other similar pests.

Can you imagine what all the ecovangelists would be saying today if all the horsepower for our modern world actually came from horses?

And too many localities require "bun bags" these days. One of the biggest problems in big cities in the horse age was all the stuff the horses deposited in the streets.

Par for the course. The solution to today's problem is the problem for tommorrow's solution.

Another example is the catalytic converter designed to decrease smog gasses. How does it do that? ...By turning smog gasses into greenhouse gasses.

Organic farming which was instituted as a boon to the environment would displace something like 15 million acres of forest land in order to meet the world's food needs.

Ethanol production which was supposed to create a cleaner renewable energy source really isn't saving much energy, and it is driving our food prices way up.

I wonder how "environmentally friendly" all these hybrid cars are going to be when their batteries reach the end of their servicable life and have to be disposed of.

So, I'll leave it to someone else to relate this digression back to the original thread.

You are not correct with that statement. The exhaust from 4 wheeled vehicles is directly used by plants for growth. In fact, CO2 concentrations 100x higher than available in the atmosphere have been proven to drastically increase plant growth. Additionally CO2 is colorless, transparent, odorless and requires no manual removal.

The 4 legged exhaust is well known to be deadly (remember the common vulgar phrase "eat ---4 legged exhaust--- and die!"), it is also replete with microorganisms that are deleterious to human health (coliform bacteria) and has an objectionable odor (ewww what smells? who stepped in the ---4 legged exhaust--- ? "). Now tell me, how can a poisonous, deleterious and odoriferous exhaust be better for the environment than a colorless, transparent and odorless one?

Yes that is true all of them cows and horse belching and far%*ng are supposed to add more green house gases than ever.. Gee now we have to capture those exhaust and use them more productively. There is a plant here that takes the Methane gas out at the sewage treatment plant and uses it for heating and cooling several large buildings..
I didn't think about it until the other guy pointed out the difference from Carbon Monoxide emission versus CO2
