Question for the gang.... is there an easier way to mount attachments to the back of my B2320? Everytime I have to attach anything heavier (tiller, plow, etc) I spend time wrestling with these items before things properly line up... I don't want to use of those quick hitches since most of the time I keep my woods backhoe mounted to a quick connect subframe. Lower links stay on even when the backhoe is mounted as long as they are hanging all the way down. The problem is mimimal adjustablity for the hitch itself on a relatively small tractor. Any suggestions?

3 options > do what you have been, get a full quick hitch and take it off when using the BH or get a Pats style QA for the lower links.

Dropping your implement on the most level ground helps with the next hook up. Find a pipe bar that you can use for leverage instead of your back when your trying to tweak the implement to line up. Also I find that that if you hook up the "non adjustable lift arm first, if the adjustable lift arm if not lined up perfectly, you can adjust the lift arm and that usually will pull the implement to where it needs to be in order for the agdjustable link arm to line up.

Drop your implement on a palate pr some 2 x 4's ... It will slide easier and be easier to position.

set your attachments on a rolling platform. I started making them for mine. It makes hooking on a lot easier when the implement can be pushed around with one hand.

You might consider converting from the turnbuckles on the B2320 to the telescopic stabilizers. I have found the Pat's system very helpful, but also added the telescopic stabilizers and they are a lot better than those turnbuckles. They will hold your lower arms apart at whatever width you set them which makes it easier to line up and adjust out much easier.

+1 on this suggestion. Best thing I ever did for my B7610. Cost me $130.

+1 on using dollies for the implements, as long as you have a flat, hard surface. Makes a huge difference... you just roll the implement to the tractor and hook it up. Takes less space for storage also.

Mounting implements on a three point is the age old problem with tractors. A few things that make it easier:

* Park your implements on firm, level ground. I parked my disc harrows on soft incline, facing downhill once.
* Park your implements on a wheeled dolly on a concrete slab, so they can be easily moved. I haven't done this, but I've seen some setups like this and it is great.
* Make up a spreader bar to hold the swing arms apart at the correct width, or get the telescoping stabilizers.
* Get a Pat's Quick Change set up (mine came with the spreader bar) - but you noted that might not work because of the Backhoe.
* They have other quick-hitches (all three points are part of the quick hitch), but these don't fit all implements. If you only use a couple implements, and they all work with the quick hitch, then this might be an ideal arrangement. Again, not compatible with a backhoe though.

For me, just using the Pat's quick hitch with the stabilizer bar made my life a lot easier. However, I think I may still upgrade to the telescoping stabilizer, as the spreader bar doesn't work with some of my implements.

Probably the thing I enjoy the most about my new garage is having all my non-wheeled implements on dollies-it makes the attaching process a dream. Even if I did not have a garage, I think I would pour a slab of concrete for implement storage.

I shortly will be building dollies for my attachments like back how, brush hog, show blower, etc. I was wondering is it worth buying casters with locking feature built in. My though is it would make it easier to attach them. I may be incorrect with this thought but I thought I see what all of you think. Thanks John

I've been thinking about wheeled dollies, but now I'm thinking about pallets and a pallet jack. Anybody doing this?

I just put everything not attached to the tractor on a pallet and use the tractor to move them as needed. Everything I have slides around easy enough on the pallet I dont have any problems hooking up. except for the post hole digger which I hang it up and is much easier that way.

I agree, a few pallets can make your life easier.

I don't need to change it that much so here's what I do:

Before I start I make sure the 3pt eyes are oiled/greased and turn.
I also have a cross bar I use as a lever to turn those eyes in the lower link to line up. Some on grease the implement pins also help.
Have a small hydraulic jack on hand if its gone too far off level you can fix it.

Loosen the lower link adjusters.

Make sure implement PTO will not interfere (if present)

Back up and get the fixed side of the 3pt pinned raise or lower hitch as required. A few sledge taps can help convince it to go on. Pin it.

Then use the tractor pull/push the implement to line up on the adjusting side of the 3pt. Raise or lower the hitch as required. Then match the up/down lower link adjustment to the implement pin. Few taps with sledge and it should go on if lined up. Pin it.

Lock adjust. Tighten lower link adjusts on both sides.

Attach PTO and check for lock. (if present)

Pin up the implement stand in the up position.

Put top link in. pin it, adjust pitch and lock it.

Lift implement with tractor and check desired pitch and roll.

Drive away.

I do not use locking casters on my dollies. When hooking up, I have the ability to push the implement in at an angle to hook up one side and pin it. I then walk around to the other side and hold the arm out and push the implement in and pin that side. Then I hook up the top link. Of course I am doing this on concrete or asphalt so it is easy to push the implements around.
