After it was pretty much in position I lifted up one side so that bricks could be slid underneath to level the stone.

What I conclude from this is that the 800 pound rating is measured out in front of the quick attach plate. Probably somewhere between 18 inches to 2 feet. Rembering back when I bought it, this was basically what I was told. Now, this was with over two hundred pounds (neighbor plus 55 pound weight and bumper - Total of 250) on the back of the PT422. For a 1400 pound machine, this is impressive.

I built a huge retaining wall and I moved the 65 pound blocks by hand. I did not have a tractor to do that for me. When finished it was over 120 feet long and 5 rows high in the back including the footer. This pic is when the wall was almost finished.

Very funny. That is a Victorian Playhouse I use to hide the pumps and filter. Here is a pic of part of the inside of the Playhouse.

Nice landscaping. It looks like you could get a lot of good use out of a Power Trac. I've been looking at them for a couple of years now, but have not pulled the trigger. I wonder if that 425 w/ the Generac engine has the newer higher torque wheel motors. Sounds like a beast w/ 33 hp. However, not many 425 owners seem to run out of power except under heavy mowing on slopes. It seems they definitely can lift the 800lbs w/ the limit being the rear wheels lifting.

I want to dig out a small stock pond for some llamas I keep for pets. I figure the mini-hoe would work best for that. My mowing would be mainly about 5 ac. of fields and maybe 2 ac. of decent grass. I also have a lot of rocks so both mowers would be needed. I think the 4 in 1 would be good for the brush pick and for maintaining about 1000' of drive. I also could use some irrigation lines to try to keep things green. The mini-hoe could work for that, but 14's comments about the stump grinder have me thinking. The list keeps getting longer. I figure a 425 would be about the right size.

This forum seems to be one of if not the best one for exchanging ideas and getting help when problems arise.
