After it was pretty much in position I lifted up one side so that bricks could be slid underneath to level the stone.

What I conclude from this is that the 800 pound rating is measured out in front of the quick attach plate. Probably somewhere between 18 inches to 2 feet. Rembering back when I bought it, this was basically what I was told. Now, this was with over two hundred pounds (neighbor plus 55 pound weight and bumper - Total of 250) on the back of the PT422. For a 1400 pound machine, this is impressive.

Isn't it amazing how popular a PT makes you with the neighbors? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I built a huge retaining wall and I moved the 65 pound blocks by hand. I did not have a tractor to do that for me. When finished it was over 120 feet long and 5 rows high in the back including the footer. This pic is when the wall was almost finished.

It looks like you live in an awfully small house. I'll bet your utility bills are low. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Very funny. That is a Victorian Playhouse I use to hide the pumps and filter. Here is a pic of part of the inside of the Playhouse.

Here is a pic looking at my waterwheel. You can see part of the house to the left.

Nice landscaping. It looks like you could get a lot of good use out of a Power Trac. I've been looking at them for a couple of years now, but have not pulled the trigger. I wonder if that 425 w/ the Generac engine has the newer higher torque wheel motors. Sounds like a beast w/ 33 hp. However, not many 425 owners seem to run out of power except under heavy mowing on slopes. It seems they definitely can lift the 800lbs w/ the limit being the rear wheels lifting.

I want to dig out a small stock pond for some llamas I keep for pets. I figure the mini-hoe would work best for that. My mowing would be mainly about 5 ac. of fields and maybe 2 ac. of decent grass. I also have a lot of rocks so both mowers would be needed. I think the 4 in 1 would be good for the brush pick and for maintaining about 1000' of drive. I also could use some irrigation lines to try to keep things green. The mini-hoe could work for that, but 14's comments about the stump grinder have me thinking. The list keeps getting longer. I figure a 425 would be about the right size.

This forum seems to be one of if not the best one for exchanging ideas and getting help when problems arise.
