Rick,

Ditto on the paint rub marks. I now watch the turning cylinders pretty close and try not to go to full lock. I do not mow with mine so I probably do a lot less turning than you. I bet you won't have any more issues with this heim joint. A rubber stop sounds like a great idea!

Maybe my shock is caused by the fact that I have a spinner knob on my steering wheel. I have found it invaluable, especially when using the loader joystick, and also while mowing. I decided very early-on that two-handed turning would't work while either joysticking or hanging on while mowing. Anyway, I may be hitting the limits a little hard turning quickly around a tree or other obstacle. I'll try to be a little easier with it but I won't give up the knob.

I've got a spinner knob, too. I suppose I could whack it hard in lock to lock turning, but I rarely do that.

Oh, one more thing... the PT425, while very stable, can tip over on flat ground if you are going flat out as fast and you can and give the spinner knob a crank to full lock and never let off the go pedal while mowing... at least it goes up on two wheels till you grab the joystick out of float and use the mower deck as side wheelie bars /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I was giving it a performance test at the little league last week and kept pushing the envelope, so to speak. Won't do that again /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
