What would one think is a good discount off list price for a new Kabuto Grand L Cab model? I expect to purchase several attachments from the same dealer. Also what would one think the tractor should depreciate over the first two years considering good condition and careful usage?

I just spoke to a dealer that said 6-10% off list is about what you can expect for a new tractor and once you drive it off the lot the depreciation is about 1/3rd! Does anybody think that is accurate?

I don't think either is accurate. I'm not sure on the 10% off of retail, seems like it should be more like 15%. Depreciation, I don't think so. I shopped for a long time to buy a used tractor and the prices were very high. 8 or 10 year old tractor price was not too much different than new, so I bouhgt new. Is there another dealer close by? Look around some more.

How much does a 2/3 year old unit sell for? or a comparable unit?

When I shopped around for a tractor most of the Kubota dealers were 15 to 20% off list price fro tractors on the lot. Anything they had to order you have to negotiate atarting from list price. A couple of dealers were list price and would not budge but they did not have very much on the lot and appeared no moving very much inventory. They were high on implements too so I walked. Service was not an issue as they were too far away from home.

Our local John Deere Dealer discount pretty good for anything on the lot. I was suprised at the low prices but everythinghe had was either too small or too big.
