Disgusted W/ BX2350 workmanship

Still loving my BX22 bought new in 2003.
Maybe changes in the corporate culture more recently...trying to stay competitive with lower priced products, cost cutting, labor issues, etc?

I've had my bx2350 for a little over 3 years now. Almost 400 hard working hours and not a bit of trouble. If I hadn't read about it here, I would never have considered the abrupt stop from reverse a problem. Personally, I still don't think it's a problem. I test drove the tractor before I purchased it, and it behaves today exactly as it did on that very first day.

If I let the clutch pedal on my truck fly up from the floor, I will get jerked around a good bit. To avoid this I "feather" the clutch. It's second nature and I don't even think about it when driving. Operating the Kubota smoothly is also second nature to me.

In my opinion, starting a class action suit regarding the Kubota "reverse" issue would be the same as suing Dodge because my clutch pedal will fly up too quick if I let my foot slip off when it is depressed. I can find more productive ways to spend my time.

The abrut reverse has been discussed a lot on this board, and I agree with Chiefchicken, its not that big of a deal. Someone on this board gave the hint of using the toe on your foot to lift up on the forward pedal to back up the BX. That works for me, and for some reason is a lot smoother.

Neil Messick mentioned some time ago that the only people that ever mentioned the abrupt stop at his dealership, were those that had read about it on the forums. As you might imagine, I talk to a lot of BX owners. If they don't visit the forums, they never mention the sudden stop. If I ask, they've "never thought about it". Certainly doesn't come up as a big problem...

I'll agree that the abrupt reverse stop issue is not a huge deal - after all I bought a BX2350 after knowing all about it. However, I definitely would not say it is unnoticeable - especially in high gear at any RPM above idle.

I have owned my 2350 since 2007 with 600+ trouble free hours. Great little machine. I have owned many tractors in my life from big to little ones and in several shades of colors. I have to say this little orange critter has been one of the best I have owned.
