Agri-Fab 4' x 2 1/2' Cart as collector.

I also had the option of creating a collector out of my 8yo HF 4' x 8' utility trailer but determined too much weight for my 2009 Sears PGT 2900 28 hp 54" deck Pro Garden Tractor. When I cross referenced gross weights of JD/etc tractor models (that I'd be proud to own), a 1,000 lb difference=lack of control/safety hazard. (now if I could marry something up with a Bobcat 753 skid steer...).

Initial Planned Mods to Agri-Fab trailer to include:
-Stock 4.80/4.00 pneumatic tires. Change to 16" x 6.50 x 8" turf type pneumatic (my three local HF's do not carry, plus want either catch on sale or use the common 20% off coupon).
-Strip/Prime/Paint the 4' x2.5' Galvanized metal.
-Add on an elongated & widen Tongue to fit 6.5hp engine mounting pattern.
-Addn'l mods to plan out include: frame up sides, seal, etc... more to come.

Final Pic before off to Jimmy Buffet Concert then labor day weekend traffic to sister's wedding in Ct.

One point I want to get across is how an Agri-Fab product can successfully stand up to 15 yrs of neglect. Even when I kept outdoors after I built my 23' x 42' shed 5yrs ago (nobody's fault but mine), this is a solid piece of yard equipment and if I had the need for another (used) at a yard sale, I'd buy vice purchasing new since has shown to last.

Pic shows

-Waterline of leaf/debris that collected, and about 6 hours of scaling paint off of galvanized metal flooring.

-HF Compact Air Needle Scaler is the smaller $14.99 model (sale on occasion for $9.99). The replaceable needles go for $4.99, but after 6 hrs, they've no noticeable wear, Smaller model equals more time so I've only the floor portion done so far (with gloves/respirator/ear/eye protection).

General Notes:

-Am constantly having to clean out the air compressors water strainer and oil the tools in this humid Virginia climate!

-Smooth Surface. Several posts state you want smoothest surface possible for dumping ease. Am really paying attention to detail on the Prime & Paint job with both prime and paint with Rustoleum products.

-Paint alternative. I've used POR15 very successfully on several occasions, but on this particular project, won't justify the additional costs. (Herculiner as well, but that defeats the entire purpose!). Those posts are on .jeepforum.com under same avatar if interested.
