DK55 and KL1595 Loader

( Plus, remember the 1595 has three degrees less than your 1590 loader of roll back on the bucket, making it that much woorse! Kioti is trying to fix it, they say! )
add to that what you lose by having the quick attach plate on as well. The rollback should probably be closer to 35 degrees. John

UPDATE KIOTI CALLED LATE TODAY ! The president's executive secretary called late today (Anna). She said that the president was on a conference call conversation from Korea and that he was talking to KMW about the fix for the 1595's lack of roll-back angle. She told me that Kioti would absolutely be coming up with a fix for these loaders. She also said she will call me back when the president returns from Korea with his results from disscussions with KMW! I think now that all of the slow action on this problem has been KMW all the time. Kioti should force action by KMW or give the business to another loader maker. On another note KMW failed to return calls and email as of press time! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I received an e-mail today from my contact at Daedong in S. Korea. He had forwarded all of the posts I copied to him to Kioti's US president. They seem to have gotten right on it.
I agree that it's KMW who has not been forthcoming on this project. They make loaders for a lot of different MFGs and some are much larger than Kioti so they get preference. I think there is some talk about changing to another loader maker. I just hope it gets done quickly, and that the new company is more responsive to problems.
It has been my experience, and that of many others, that Daedong USA, aka Kioti, is willing to go the extra mile to make everything right. They truly want to make improvements to their products, and make sure they have happy customers.
At a dealer meeting last year, they queried the dealers about what they want to see, products to develop, etc. They rely on feedback to know what's expected, and they're willing to listen and act.
I know for a fact that they've made a lot of changes in just the last two years as a response to problems reported to them by dealers. Just look at the new cup holder on the CK20s!! Someone told them it needed one, so they made one. That's just a silly example, but it demonstrates their desire to do the right things to make a great product.

John, I have no doubt that if Kioti had built this loader that it would have been as great as their tractors. I have no complaints about the Master of the farm, the DK55Cab! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know, isn't it awesome? Every time I go out to my dealer's I drool over the DK45, 55 and the DK65S Cab he has on the lot.
I've tried out all of them, and love them all. I just wish I had a real need for the big guys, but I'd have to buy some many things to go with them, and a new trailer, and a new tow vehicle. Darn.

John, I may trade for the DK65S just to get the 1731 loader. That picture of the 1731 loader on the rops DK65 on the Kioti site, has a level bucket and a full bucket!

Put a bale spike on the quick attach and then stab a 5 x 6 round bale and when you go over a hump and head down hill see how long the round bale stays on the spike! NOT ENOUGH ROLL BACK for the big round bale job on my 1590 FEL.
Also lose dirt from the bucket when lifted above approx. 18" ; especially downhill. I suspect it would work well with a pallet fork. I also find my roll back strength is weak in comparsion to the case loader I used on my previous tractor.

KiotiJohn,

Yes, that is exactly what my loader does, it keeps the item (bucket or forks) attached to the quick attach plate at a constant angle as the loader moves up and down. I choose what that angle with the loader's rollback/dump control (i.e. pushing left or right with the joystick). I also agree with you, the bucket looses some rollback angle when its stuck on the quick attach plate. Like I said before more rollback would be nice, but it works well as it is.

LakeLanierBuddy,

I think I do understand how to use my pallet forks. I don't always want my forks level with the ground, some loads must be rolled back slightly so they rest on the fork frame. When I'm moving things like brush I roll them back all the way to trap the brush between the forks and the frame.

My comments are limited to the 1590, I have no experience with the 1595 and defer to you and others on that loader. But I have moved 32 tons of #8 gravel and 8 yards of mulch since I've bought the tractor so I think I have enough experience to comment on how it handles loose materials. In short it could be better, but it does work as advertised.

Good luck with the 1595 issue, maybe Kioti will make you happy.

Jeff, I did not mean you don't understand how to use your pallet forks. I meant , I don't think you understand the problems that many LONG time users of the 1590 and 1595 have outlined above with the use of a bucket, or bale spear. Kioti does understand the problem and plans to take care of all that are unhappy with the rollback. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just scoop a bucket load of anything with the 1595 and then head down hill and see how much you end up with. Add to that loader pallet forks and you end up with an embarassing , underwhelming tool. I guess my dealer must have really gone to bat for me last year. I heard all of this stufff from Kioti last year and they still have no answers? denial ?
