Do they make this type of snowblower?

Most anything hydraulic is activated by a control valve, so on a hyd. drive blower, you aren't shutting off the tractor PTO. It keeps turning but you are shutting off the control valve supplying the oil which powers the blower.

well, on mine i have to flip the pto toggle switch to shut off the blower. its not like the hydraulic system on the tractor that keeps flowing when not in use.

I'll just throw this out there for you to chew on. Every now and then the front blowers do come up for sale used. Even if you ended up buying the subframe / quick hitch new, you have several options on finding a used front blower. First, depending on the width you need to cover your tire tracks, you can use the BX blower, the B series blower, and even the big L series blower. They are all made by RAD up in Canada and the nose of the quick hitches are all the same. As an added bonus, RAD also makes , or made, the front blowers for Massey Ferguson and New Holland (as well as Honda and no doubt others)..... so you may find a deal on one in red or blue.

FWIW , I have the B2782 on my B3030 and its a snow munching beast.. The blower is very stout. I have the hydraulic chute rotation as well as the hydraulic chute deflector and its a joy to operate. I have had a rear blower in the past and I wouldn't go back.

Thanks. I kind of figured there would only be one or two companies building them and painting them different colors.

That's kind of what I'm looking for but I was leaning more towards one that mounts to the loader arms. I figured that type of system would let me raise the blower higher if there are any high snowbanks I need to push back.

Where there's a will there's a way but sometimes I'm not sure if that's such a good thing!

If your tractor had an electric PTO it would shut off with a switch. If it had a mechanically engaged PTO the PTO would keep turning. There are a couple ways an electric switch could shut off the blower. One is the hyd. pump is belt or chain driven and engaged by an electric clutch or two is there is an electric solenoid controlled hyd. valve.

If you have snow drifts you should be able to just raise it as high as the subframe will allow and drive into it. Go a foot or two in and then back up. Usually any snow that's higher than your blower will just fall and a second pass will remove it. Unless you plan on plowing too you're not going to have very many snow banks. After 4 years in Northern Vermont I have never needed the blower any higher than the subframe can lift it. If an unusual even happens you can always switch back to the loader and use that (I've never needed to).

try a 3pt pull type snowblower. I have used the same one for 7 years on a 1 1/2 mile long dirt road with no major issues. I do have a hydrolic chute rotator, with a sims heated cab on an l2800. I also am able to use my bucket for sanding when needed. METEOR 68" PULL TYPE SNOWBLOWER.

well that might work, but when my bulidings shed i can have 5+ foot banks.....ive had them as high as the eaves. I used to have to drive in with bucket and backdrag, TURN AROUND and blow. TURN AROUND repeat...repeat..repeat.

nowdays i raise it up to top of pile and drive back and forth while lowering blower.

What used to take half the day can be done in less than 30 minutes.

If I lived in a Buffalo NY type area I would have a different opinion. But if it only happens once a year a more typical front (or rear) blower would be up to the job and the extra hour or so it would take would make it hard to justify the added cost of a hydraulic snow blower. Of course if I could find other uses for having the PTO hydraulic power unit, say a log splitter, auger, cement mixer, etc that would also change my opinion.
