Do wear your seatbelt in your vehicle?

<font color="blue">The other thing that we liked to do was to sit up on the arm rest in the middle of the front seat so we could see out the front window. If we would have gotten into an accident it would be like lifting off of a launching pad right through the window! </font>

I remember riding in the back window as well the center armrest. Although I can't help but wonder if I'd have a better chance in a 50 MPH crash my Dad's old '49 Packard or a 2006 Camry with 10 seat belts. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

One of the other joys of traveling when I was a kid was riding in the back of a pick up truck with the wind blowing through your hair. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
We thought the biggest danger was getting a bug in the eye.

We did the pick-up riding too. Never thought a minute about it. I've been wearing seatbelt since before it was mandated. My wife just started wearing hers after years of my recommendation. Watching serious drag racing accidents in the early 70's convinced me of their worth. A roll cage made a good partner to them. Those guys needed both to have any chance of survival. In recent years the auto manufacturers have finally come around to understanding that end of the equation too. Seatbelts are half the story, a very important half though.

Yes I always wear my seat belt were ever I go.

Years back my mother told me about how when she was a teen ager she rolled her car and if she had been wearing a seat belt it would have cut her in half becuase the seat apparently went through the roof.

Despite this I always wear my belt wehn I drive.
