Couple probs we are having, is a piece of foam collecting road salt and corroding the fender and the quarter panels. most comment that they cant see over the hood,, Plowing would be an issue as a result, Someone tried pressure washing one, and blew a big section of paint off, and the metal tears easily if scratched. Few shops are setup for working on aluminum. and they doubt a frame can be repaired,,

The frame is not aluminum.

A gooseneck hitch is stronger.

For pickups 5th wheels are primarily used for towing campers, not tandem dual equipment trailers which typically have a gooseneck hitch. If you look at how a gooseneck hitch is bolted right to the frame it's very solid IMO.
