Do you know what the purple paint law is?

I interviewed with a company once, every other question was
“Do you want to work in Camden?”
NO!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they were interviewing people in DC area, hoping someone was naive enough to say yes.
Working there would be pretty bad, as long as you didn’t have to LIVE there. Lots of very posh suburbs just 15 minutes away. Cherry Hill, Vorhees, Medford Lakes, etc.

NYC has changed so much since the 80s, or 70s. Mostly due to property costs going sky high.
Camden has not changed much, Newark has specific directions you can go, don't veer off of them.

Trenton , the NJ capitol is not a place to be at night, even when at government buildings.

I grew up in NY, Bed Sty was a no mans land and you could get shot at driving through there during the day.
Now you see more couples with kids and business people and high priced condos.
My first job out of college was in Trenton... I lived in the small part called Chambersburg, all Italian then. I drove past just a few years ago; it was unrecognizable. Good memories of Jersey though...

When I was getting out of my car at home last night, my neighbor asked me to take a look at something in the back yard. He said someone painted purple paint on some of the trees in the woods behind our places and was wondering what it meant, if they were gonna cut the trees, etc. I knew the answer. Kinda funny how coincidental things like this come up.

Wife has a purple GTO, not a single door ding.
I have a dilapidated 93 Suburban. I park it away from other cars in the lot just to be courteous. Every once in a while some goofball will park right next to me.

Oh, and it's reddish wherever the clear coat hasn't fallen off, not purple.

I do the same with our trucks. I figure who wants to squeeze by a big vehicle? Then you park way out, away from everyone else and come back to find a couple of cars parked around you, like chicks with a mother hen.

Must be some gravity wave / time warp thing.

I could see someone parking a classic car or something really nice out in the boonies so it wouldn't get dinged. And then someone with an equally nice vehicle parking out there too, kind of acknowledging the kinship. But man, my Suburban has rust holes so large in it that sometimes when I get in, I'll find a sparrow sitting in there looking at me! Why would anyone park next to that rust bucket?

Maybe they think I'm parking it out there so it won't get scratched. :ROFLMAO:

Oh, I also park by shopping cart returns, or a light pole if no returns in the lot. Why? So I can find my car easier. It's gotta be by one of em! ;)
