I have a canopy. When I'm in the field on a sunny day I really appreciate it. When I'm going into the woods it's a PITA, as I need to be careful not to catch it on a limb. It's too heavy/bulky to remove at will but if I ever get my shelter built I will be able to strap it to the ceiling and unbolt it.
As Moss stated, while it is helpful in precipitation I still get wet. I wouldn't want a full cab though as it would get destroyed when I go into the woods.
It is noisy when I hit a bump and I do think that it holds the transmission noise in, making it louder; but ever since I put the SUDT in at my last service the whine is a lot less obnoxious.
