Mark I don't know how but I'm sure Junkman is gonna get me for that crack. The hair on the back of my neck is standing straight up which is a sure sign of trouble for me. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Don't want to hijack this thread, but here is an old thread that has a lot of information on the grass catcher. If you have any questions, send me a pm or simply reply to the linked thread.
As for convincing the wife, I had just the opposite problem, the wife insisted on the grass catcher, but I have to say that leaf clean up last fall was the easiest it's been in years /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
My wife is a career Firefighter/Paramedic (same as me) and drives a 12000# ambulance, 35000# engine, and a 60000# tanker but refuses to even get on my NH 1920 w/FEL & BH. I tried to explain that should I have a "mishap" I might need help and her response was not to get myself into a "situation". Bill C
I am trying to get more seat time for my wife. Problem is i'm on the tractor all the time now that the weather has turned nice. My goal is that she will be able to drive, work all the attachments as well as I can

The wife says that driving the tractor is something that she does not find fun, /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif but she will drive it (lifting FEL work) if I need her to while building. (She still thinks of it as a tool).

Well... I'm in tha market for a new tractor, and am sure when I get one she will drive it. She loves driving my old MF135... I get antsy because it's old and stuff don't work... like the brakes... unless you drop what ever implement you've got hung on the back /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
This post makes me somewhat sad as my wife died of cancer in 1996. However, I would have no problem with her driving the new Kioti. She drove the old 8n and was good with anything she tried. She'd absolutely love the FEL and BH and I wouldn't get any seat time probably. At any rate, if you've got 'em, love 'em and if they want to drive it, teach them the right way with safety. If they don't want to drive 'em, love them all the more! John
I had to drain oil out of her truck awhile back. Had over one gallon too much in it. She thought the oil pressure guage was for indicating quantity and it would read empty when she shut the engine down, so she would add a quart of oil. The tractor is off-limits, keys hidden and a cable lock around the steering wheel. I love her to death, but she has no mechanical aptitude.
