Lazy rainy day

My border collie was like that. She was born into a dog hoarder situation, sheriff raid to take the dogs..... she was adopted out numerous times and returned each time due to being terrified of the world. Our old neighbor lost his pooch a couple months back to old age. Waited about a month and adopted a 8 month old pooch.
Pooch was from a breeder, and no one wanted it. So it spent it's whole life to this point locked in a cage.
This pooch is so skiddish of everything. Gets pretty overwhelmed when he goes outside.
It's gonna take quite a bit of time and patience for the pup to come around
Hard to like this, but I've heard similar stories. In the Hollywood Cemetery in downtown Richmond Va is a cast iron dog a child would pet when she walked by it (Rees family). She died as a child and dog placed at her grave. It couldn't be melted down for Civil War bullets since it was in a Cemetery.
The cuter the look on the face the bigger the mess...Bad Dog!
Thats what we figure will happen with our old neighbors Yorkiepoo. My border collie was like that. She was born into a dog hoarder situation, sheriff raid to take the dogs..... she was adopted out numerous times and returned each time due to being terrified of the world.
She eventually ended up in the shelter, they sent her to a rescue lady since they could not work with her. Rescue lady tried for 9 months to settle her down and even she gave up. Then she came to live with us. On day two of having her my wife asked if I had expected this much of a handful. My comment was "no, but she's my dog now".
That was 4 years ago. She's a good dog now, but it took the patience of Job and a kind hand.
Credible BS
Personal knowledge or speculation?Credible BS![]()

OK, speculation1 - My limited knowledge of dogs from personal experience.
2 - Common sense.
3 - Simple research on the internet.
There are many versions of the story you posted about. At best, it was a stray dog that lived in the cemetery (with other stray dogs) that gravitated towards that gravesite for whatever reason to sleep.
Generally, people love a good story, and generally it's just that, a story.
Hachiko (sp?) I guess could be a somewhat credible story because the dog was already trained to wait for his master by the train tracks. Per your story, the dog had never been to the cemetery EVER, even after the dogs owner died.
Exactly how do you prove something didn't happen when it becomes a "feel good" story?OK, speculation
