Dogs in Lowes Store

That wasn't a dog, that was a horse. Why would he need a dog as a companion at the restaurant when he had his wife there. People are getting carried away with this.

Yeah I know right, the guy must have big emotional problems that requires a dog-horse at a restaurant, and yes I also think this is redunkulous, if I had that much a OCD, DYS, GRT, HFE, KLB, MGO.............problem I'd stay home.

Was that at the hotdog stand at Home Depot?

Not sure how common it is...but a Home Depot in St. Pete. FL has a McDonald's inside the store...

I realize most people pets that they bring into the public are probably well behaved. Still i am always a bit concerned and keep some distance when i see peoples dogs in stores such as the big box stores. Just takes a little something to go wrong and have a bad situation. I do pretty much the same if they have young kids with them. Perhaps i am overly cautious

Was in a Sam's club today. Of course we were going around and getting the free samples. There was a ticked off lady giving sample of some chicken alfredo (very good by the way). Said some customers came by with a dog in the cart and the dog stuck it's nose on the sample tray. She said the customers seemed to think there was nothing wrong with that but she had to dump everything, clean up her sample cart, then cook some more samples. Said the people actually acted offended by her dumping the food in the trash in front of them. Later we saw the cart with the little mutt in it and the people were giving it some of the samples. They pushed the buggy up against another sample cart and that lady pushed them back. That really pi$$ed off the dog people and they exchanged words with the old lady.

Unless it is a service dog keep your filthy mutt out of stores, ESPECIALLY food stores.

To those that say, "My dog is trained, my dog would never bite, my dog obeys!"

Seeing Eye dogs for the blind are the most conditioned, most trained dogs there are. I have been around some of them.

Many years ago we were visiting some relatives who were blind. It was a four hour drive to get to their residence near the Blind School in Louisville, Kentucky. An hour or so after we arrived the grandmother, who could see, came home with her blind grandson. The old lady just mumbled "hello" and "biggest **** mess" and went to her room. The grandson explained that he had wanted to go to some type of convention that the Kentucky institute for the blind held each year. Granny had taken him.

"And", he explained, laughing "as usual, there were probably five hundred or more blind people in the auditorium with their seeing eye dogs. And, as usual somebody slipped a ***** in heat into the arena."

"They will be there until two in the morning getting all the leashes untangled."

Given the right stimulus ANY dog can forget everything and act on instinct.

I had my "filthy mutt" in Home Depot today. I forgot a few things so I think I will take her again tomorrow. As if I would listen to you.

I really don't understand why some get so up tight about a 'well behaved' dog in a store. Times are a changing... in some ways this is sad. My favorite dog, actually a Coy-dog and she was the love of the neighborhood. Can't let them roam even a bit now, let alone do their business without supervision. Don't get me wrong. Poop in public places is not cool. I am sort of missing the old days. Okay... let me have it.

In YOUR opinion,, the dog is well behaved.
Dog owners are used to the smell of their dog,
Dog owners are used to the fleas that all dogs have
Dog owners are used to the actions of their dog that drives other crazy!!
I could go on for ten more lines,, but, I will leave some responses for others to "let you have it",,, :D

We will see how you act when someone's Doberman sticks its nose TOO inquisitively in your crotch!!

My dog is well behaved in OTHER PEOPLE'S opinion.
My dog does NOT have fleas.
The ladies at Home Depot LOVE my dog, feed her treats and she drives them CRAZY
Bring it on if you are going to let me "have it"
Mine doesn't, but other dogs usually stick their noses in women's crotches...... have you had that problem with dogs?
