1*So is the drivers door the only door you can get into the Veh.with when the Veh is locked up? No, because it has keyless entry. Push the remote button twice and all doors unlock - this can be changed so that all doors unlock with one push.
2*This means you have to use 2 keys to start it with then correct? 1 to unlock the door and another 1 to start the engine. If you count the remote as a key, yes, but otherwise the same key unlocks the door and starts the engine. I don't understand why 2 keys is a big deal. GM had used separate door and ignition keys for years. I know as recently as '96 as my Mom's Beretta has 2 keys. My sister's '95 Sunfire had 1 key and so did my '97 K1500.
3* & 4* But you can unlock both doors from the outside right? Yes, but like I said we usually use the remote.
If he doesn't like not being able to unlock the door, any decent car accessory shop can add keyless entry to vehicle - even one that doesn't have power locks for around $100 - 130. Heck go up a few $ and it'll even start by remote.
